I am so happy that spring is finally here, one of my favourite feelings is walking out the door at the end of a long and grey winter, realising that you can now leave your hat at home and instead you’ve swapped it for a pair of sunglasses. It is so nice that it is no longer dark when I walk to the nursery to pick up my daughter. It’s the simple things like this that gets me in a better mood. The excitement of booking lovely spring sessions in the parks, with kids running around freely, no longer needing to wrap up warm in their coats.
Last weekend was the first time I got the opportunity to really capture the fact that spring has now sprung. Me and gorgeous little Jessie, 10 years old, went out to the park for a session. Jessie had been waiting for this for a long time as her auntie had bought her a gift voucher for a photo session for her christmas present. We couldn’t have had a better day for it, the sun was shining and all the spring blossom covered the ground. I have a favourite spot to shoot in and it is gorgeous all year round but now the area was full of crocus, grape hyacinths, daffodils and the Magnolia tree was in full bloom.
It was such a lovely session and here are some pictures from it.
